Allow us to introduce ourselves! We are Andrew and Emily Sorlie, lovebirds, cooking enthusiasts and creators of Honey & Dear.
As wedding filmmakers, we love what we do. We can truly say we have found our passion in working together to make our couples happy.
Our company story begins in 2009 when I, Andrew, decided to leave my marketing career to pursue something I have always loved: film! The business started as a one-man gig, under the name Sorlie Arts. But it wasn’t long before Emily, a Fine Arts graduate specializing in photography, joined me. She had already been helping me on evenings and weekends, but she decided it was time to quit her job and jump in full-time. As partners, we rebranded the company to Honey & Dear, and we haven’t looked back.
We have since had the honour of filming weddings in Australia, Singapore, Dominican Republic, and British Columbia—not to mention all over Ontario.
So many reasons. Besides the fun people and new experiences, one of the major reasons is our desire to give others what we didn’t have! Emily and I got married in 2007 and didn’t have our wedding filmed professionally—something that, in our line of work, we regret daily.
Though we remember a lot about our big day, we would love to be able to re-experience all the details, especially the wedding speeches and our vows to each other.
We want to capture your wedding on film, so you’re able to recall the day over again for years to come.
